Weekly Photo Challenge: Place In The World

Where’s my place in the world? Any place where I’m on vacation!

I just returned from a 7 day cruise to the beautiful Caribbean.  The cruise ship stopped at several locations, but my favorite was St. Maarten. Although the island is small, it’s actually home to two different countries (France and the Netherlands)!

The views of the ocean were spectacular and the beach, very relaxing. It was the perfect place to connect with nature.

I was sad to say goodbye to this quaint island, but I definitely will visit again.

Monochrome Monday: From Head To Toe

Head To Toe by TGWC Chloe

During a visit to Edinburgh last fall, my husband and I discovered so many fun traditions.

As we strolled down the Royal Mile, we saw a lot of people passing by a large male statue and touching his toe. I thought it was a little odd, but found it amusing.

Later, I learned that the statue was of David Hume (a Scottish Philosopher) and that students traditionally touched his toe for good luck on exams.

I decided to touch his toe in the hopes of taking great pictures that day.

I think it worked because I really love so many pictures that I brought home from the trip.

Here’s to hoping that you have a lucky Monday!

So Long…Farewell

Goodbye Germany by TGWC Chloe

I’m sad to announce that it’s time to say goodbye…not to the blog, but to Germany (which has been my home for over 10 years).

Living in Germany has been such a wonderful chapter in my life. Here are the top 5  reasons I’ve fallen in love with Germany:

  1. It’s where I met my husband and some really good friends! 🙂
  2. I was emerged into a unique and awesome culture.
  3. I saw beautiful, historic structures that transported me back in time (and I saw real castles!!!)
  4. I’ve had an opportunity to travel to places that I dreamed of as a kid (Paris, London, Rome, and many more!)
  5. It’s where my passion for photography was fueled.

Now,  Mr. Click and I are headed to the United States to begin a new chapter. Although I had some apprehension about moving initially, I read a meaningful quote that said…”Every ending is really just a new beginning…”
