It’s been a long time since I’ve experimented with long exposure photos. Inspired by this week’s photo challenge, I went into the city with the goal of capturing light trails zooming around corners. It took some patience, but I walked away with a few photos I really liked.

This week’s theme gave me an opportunity to practice a technique that I haven’t tried in a while, which is long exposure. I used long exposure for another weekly photo challenge in the past (posted here) with good results.
I’ve seen a lot of photos with the long strike of light from taillights or headlights and wanted to give it a try.
It wasn’t nearly as hard as I’d originally thought. It was really just a matter of patience with getting the right settings and waiting for a decent amount of traffic to enter my frame for the shots. It turned out to be a fun venture!
